Maldives

IMG 1620

So I went to the Maldives for my honeymoon!!! Yes yes, I am married; I probably forgot to mention it before oops.
We wanted to have a romantic honeymoon, what better place could it be other than the Maldives, it was close to Sri Lanka as well. By the way, I had the wedding of the year in Sri Lanka, I might do another post later on about it. My 7-foot wedding cake descended from the ceiling, now that something you will not find very often 🙂

Our trip was a short 3-day trip but I don’t think I would have been able to afford more days as we decided to just unwind and have a once in a lifetime experience.

Place we stayed

Veela Private Island, now this island was probably 1 and a half-hour boat ride from an island. It was a long journey to get to this luxury resort but boy it was worth the journey.

Hotel room cost USD 3,000 a night

Things we did
Honestly, it was a luxury and relaxing holiday, so we pretty much ate good food, had good wine relaxed with cocktails. Sounds relaxing, isn’t it???

Activities inside the hotel that we did :
Stingray feeding
Jetski
Scuba diving

There is much more to do but these are a few options that we did.

Food
We had breakfast every day at their main restaurant. I would never forget how I ate egg benedict with truffle hollandaise every morning.
Every night we dined at a different restaurant within the resort. Honestly, you just don’t have to go anywhere. Everything is inside this resort.

1st night we dined at the Aragu restaurant. We were lucky enough to have a special menu curated for us.

2nd Night we dined at the wine cellar, this is a private dining area, once again we were privileged to dine here.
We also had lunch at Tavaru the teppanyaki grill cuisine.

Our room

We had a beach pool villa; it had a private swimming pool, private access to the beach, outdoor Jacuzzi. This room was with all the bells and whistles.

We even had a private butler, and a private buggy to take us up and down.
Honestly, this was one of a kind experience.
