We had to book the Vue de monde restaurant 3 months in advance, make sure to book in early as the restaurant gets fully booked. It is at the top of the Rialto towers. when you enter the building, it is quite unusual and very minimalistic. From the lobby, we went into an elevator that was very dark, when the door opened at the top of the building into the restaurant there was so much light and my brain was trying to figure out what the hell is going on, in a good way 🙂
Elegant sophisticated cuisine with native Australian ingredients. Chefs tasting menu consisting of 10 courses and costs was $310 per person. The winning dish for me was the Avacado, kingfish with wasabi, snow. It was a theatrical food experience. Definitely a must-try restaurant in Melbourne.
