Preheat oven to 180C (Conventional)
In a stand mixer add butter to a mixing bowl and mix until soft and creamy
Add white sugar and brown sugar and mix until creamy
Add egg, vanilla, maple syrup and mix well until incorporated
Add the flour, baking soda, salt and fold until well incorporated
Finally, add the chocolate chips and mix well
Portion the mixer into equal balls and roll them using your palms
Place the rolled dough 2 cm apart on a lined baking tray
Bake the cookies in the oven for 10 mins ( depending on the oven, you might need to turn them half way through)
Once cooked take them out of the oven and place them on a tray or wire rack to cool down
